Our free plan is designed to help leaders organize their structure and vision with a focused set of foundational tools at no cost. Whether you're exploring business operating systems for the first time or are looking for a software solution that's been purpose-built for small and midsize organizations based on proven best practices, Ninety makes it easy to get started.
Free Plan Tools
With a free account, you can use the following tools:
V/TO

In the V/TO tool, your company's leadership team can document your long-term strategic vision as well as the fundamental aspects of your organization that separate you from your competitors. Use this tool to:
- Document a long-term strategic vision
- Capture your organization's Core Values, marketing strategy, long-term goals, and more
- Set long-term goals
- Share the company vision with other teams

Accountability Chart

In the Accountability Chart tool, leaders can map out the organization's function-specific Seats into direct lines of reporting and every team member can review the spectifics of each Seat. Use this tool to:
- Build your company's Accountability Chart
- Draft alternative or future Accountability Chart variations
- Identify the skills and competencies required for each Seat
- Define the roles and responsibilities of each Seat
- Assign users to Seats
Directory

In the Directory tool, leaders can manage who has access to your Ninety account, what teams users are on, and more. Use this tool to:
- Add any number of users
- Create and organize teams
- Manage user roles and permissions
Knowledge
In the Knowledge Portal, all active users have read-only access to the collections Ninety has published for your company. If you have a coach, they may have added additional content for your company to use. Use this tool to:
- Learn more about using Ninety
- Review leadership resources
- Consider plans for rolling out Ninety to more teams
- Discover essential business operating system concepts
On the free plan, you cannot create new content in the Knowledge Portal, including processes. Any content you create during your free trial period or while paying for a thrive plan subscription will stay on your account if you transition to free.
Assessments
In the Assessments tool, leaders can assign one of Ninety's proprietary surveys to their teams. For free plan users, we have the following assessments available:
- Org Assessment — Designed to be taken by companies once per quarter to gauge their proficiency with the Six Key Components of EOS.
EOS Toolbox
In the OS Toolbox, users can access a wide variety of resources related to proficiently using your business operating system. In this tool, you can:
- Edit the toolbox's layout
- Add more tools/cards
- Mark a tool as mastered by a team in the organization
- Click “Learn More” to access content in the Knowledge Portal about a particular concept, tool, or discipline

Companies on Ninety's free plan also have access to a wide array of customizable settings to add their brand's look and feel to their account and adjust the terminology of our tools.
How to Customize Your Organization's Branding, Colors, and Logo
Customize Your Branding
Accessing the Configuration Settings
Only users with Owner, Admin, and Manager roles can access the company settings page.
- Click on your profile row at the very bottom of the main navigation bar.
- Click Company Settings
- Click Configuration.

Updating Your Organization's Colors and Logo
Custom Colors
- Toggle on Custom Colors
- Click the colored square under Primary.
- Use the swash to choose a color of your brand's primary color.
- Click the color identification system shown to cycle between RGB, Hex, and HSL.
- Press enter to save your selection.
- Click the colored square under Secondary.
- Use the swash to choose a color of your brand's secondary color.
- Click the color identification system shown to cycle between RGB, Hex, and HSL.
- Press enter to save your selection.
Where Primary and Secondary Colors Display
- The primary color controls the filter bar, buttons, toggles, and load bar. The text remains white, so we recommend choosing a darker color.
- The secondary color controls non-black headers like in Settings, the underlining and outlining of text boxes, the lines between Seats on the Accountability Chart, and more.
Company Logo
- Click the existing logo under Company Information.
- Click Choose File.
- Choose the image file for your account's company logo.
- Click Upload.

Configuring Feature Controls
In addition to being able to edit your company logo and colors, the Configuration page is also where you determine, at a company level, how things like Scorecards, Rocks, Issues, and Security are handled.
How to Configure Tool Names and Other Terminology
Ninety allows Admin and Owner users to customize standard terms as they appear through the tools. For example, if a company refers to To-Dos as Action Items, they can update their settings to replace the name of To-Dos across the platform.
To configure your organization's language:
- Click your name at the bottom of the left navigation.
- Click Company Settings.
- Click Language.
- Click the term to be updated.
- Write in the new term.
- Click Save Changes at the top of the screen.
- Refresh the page to view the changes.
Restoring Default Terms
To restore a single term, click the circular arrow next to any term to reset it to the default, then click Save Changes.
To restore all terms, click Reset All at the top right of the page to restore all configurable terms to default, then select Save Changes.

Ninety's free plan is ideal for:
