How to View the Activity History of Your Issues in Ninety

Every Issue in Ninety has an activity history that records actions taken on it, who took them, and when. Your team can use it to understand how an Issue evolved, confirm who made a change, or review the history of a sent Issue before discussing it.

The More Action menu open on an Issue's detail view, with View History highlighted at the bottom of the menu. Other options visible include Send to Another Team, Archive, and Copy Link.

What the activity history records

The activity history captures the following events:

  • Created, modified, completed, archived, deleted, and recovered.
  • Sent to another team, recalled, and sent back.
  • Which team member performed each action.
  • The date and time of each action.

The activity history does not record changes to comments, attachments, or linked items. Title and description edits are captured in 60-second intervals, so editing a description continuously for one hour will produce up to 60 entries.

Issues created before this feature was released will show a blank history. New actions are recorded from the release date forward.

How to view the activity history

The activity history is only accessible from an Issue's detail view, not from the Issues list.

  1. Open the Issue to its detail view.
  2. Click the More Action menu (⋯).
  3. Select View History.

Who can view the activity history

All roles can view an Issue's activity history. You must be a member of the team the Issue belongs to. Receiving teams can also view the activity history on Issues sent to them.

The activity history is available on the Essentials plan and above, on web only.

Troubleshooting

The View History option doesn't appear in the More Action menu.

  1. Confirm you are in the Issue's detail view, not the list. The option is not available from the list view More Action menu.
  2. Confirm you are accessing Ninety from a web browser. The activity history is not available on mobile.
  3. Confirm your team is on the Essentials plan or above.
  4. If the option still doesn't appear, contact support.

The activity history is blank.

  1. If the Issue was created before this feature was released, the history will be blank. Actions taken after the release date will appear going forward.
  2. If you believe recent actions should appear and they do not, contact support.
