Single Sign-On (SSO) Login Options

How to use your Gmail or Microsoft email account to log into Ninety.

Written by Tommy Mains

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a secure method for logging into applications using an existing account instead of creating a new username and password. We support logging into app.ninety.io with Google SSO using a Gmail account or Microsoft SSO using a Microsoft email account.

Additionally, Microsoft SSO in Ninety is configured at the individual user level, meaning there is no organization-wide enforcement of SSO-only login. Each user must configure it individually.

Google Single Sign-On (SSO)

You can use your Gmail account to activate and sign in to your Ninety account. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to app.ninety.io.

  2. Click Log in with Google or Sign up with Google.

  3. Enter your Google Gmail credentials or click the relevant Gmail account.

Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO)

You can use your Microsoft email account to activate or sign in to your Ninety account. Here's how:

Microsoft SSO becomes the default login method for users once enabled, and no alternative login methods, such as username and password, are presented.

  1. Navigate to app.ninety.io.

  2. Select “Log in with Microsoft” (or “Sign up with Microsoft” for new users).

  3. Authenticate using your Microsoft account credentials.

  4. If the Ninety email matches the Microsoft email, the accounts will be linked, and SSO will be activated.

Microsoft SSO became available in July 2025. We've automatically linked your account for SSO for existing Ninety users who use their Microsoft email for their primary Ninety email address.

However, users must manually sign in using the “Sign in with Microsoft” button to complete the authentication process.

What if my Microsoft email address isn't recognized for SSO?

Some accounts did not automatically connect when we linked existing Ninety accounts with the Microsoft SSO service. If you try to log in to your Ninety account with Microsoft SSO and it fails, we'll ask you some quick questions to finish syncing your Microsoft account with Ninety.

If a new user is prompted for SSO admin approval when trying to log in, verify that their email address is entered correctly in their Ninety account. If the email was mistyped, correct it and resend the invitation. During a Microsoft domain migration, SSO access will remain intact if the user’s Ninety email does not change. If the email changes, update the Ninety email to match the new Microsoft email before attempting to log in.
