How to Use Your Scorecard's Trends View
Beta: Trends View is currently in Beta. Features and design details may change as we continue developing the experience based on user feedback.
Trends View is a read-only tab in Ninety's Scorecard tool that lets you scan the health of your Scorecard (your team's weekly data dashboard in the Entrepreneurial Operating System®) across every Measurable, team, and owner at once.
Instead of opening each Measurable one at a time or interpreting a grid of numbers during a Level 10 Meeting®, you get a visual overview of what's off track, what's at risk, and what's on track, with trend charts and a drill-in for deeper context.
Trends View is available to all roles: Owner, Admin, Manager, Team Member, Observer, and Implementer. Because it's read-only, scores cannot be entered or edited from this view. To enter or update scores, navigate to your team's Scorecard tool.
Trends View cannot be set as the default view for the Scorecard tool or as the default view in meetings at this time. To view your team's trends, click the Trends tab while viewing the Scorecard tool during an L10 or between meetings while logged in to Ninety.
Opening Trends View

Trends View lives in the Scorecard tool alongside your Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Scorecards.
- Click Scorecard in the left navigation.
- Select the Trends tab at the top of the page.
The page loads with your full organization's Measurables displayed as individual cards, defaulting to weekly data for the last 13 weeks sorted by status (off-track first).
Understanding the filter bar

The filter bar at the top of Trends View controls which Measurables appear and how they're displayed. All filters work together, so you can narrow your view to a specific team, owner, or status at any time.
- Team. Filter by one or more teams, or view Measurables across all your teams. The dropdown is searchable and allows you to select up to 10 teams individually. When multiple teams are selected, the filter label shows the first team's name followed by a count of additional selections; for example, "Education Team +3."
- Type. Filter by Scorecard type: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual.
- View by. Choose how data is grouped on the trend charts. Options are Week, Month (read-only), Quarter (read-only), and Year (read-only). Because Trends View is read-only, the Month, Quarter, and Year groupings display data without allowing score entry.
- Date Range. Set the time window for the charts and status calculations. Options are Last 13 weeks, Quarter to date, and Year to date. The default is Last 13 weeks.
- Status. Filter by Off-track, At risk, On-track, or No recent data to focus on what needs attention. Select All to view every Measurable regardless of status.
- Owner. Filter by the person accountable for a Measurable.
- Sort. Change the order of KPI cards. Options are Status (Off-track first), Status (On-track first), A–Z, and Z–A. The default is Status (Off-track first).
- Search. Search by Measurable name to find a specific metric quickly.
Reading the status summary

Near the top of the page, a status summary banner shows the active date range and a breakdown of your organization's Scorecard health for that period.
The summary shows three statuses:
- Off-track. The Measurable has not met its goal in the last three reporting periods.
- At-risk. The Measurable is close to its goal but trending in a concerning direction.
- On-track. The Measurable is meeting or exceeding its goal.
The banner also shows a count of excluded Measurables. A Measurable is excluded from status calculations when no data has been entered in the last three periods.
Reading Measurable cards

Each Measurable appears as a card on the Trends View page. Every card shows:
- Status badge. Off-track, At-risk, or On-track, displayed in the top-left corner of the card.
- Owner profile icon. The profile icon of the person accountable for the Measurable.
- Trend chart. A line chart showing Actual scores, Goal, and Average over the selected date range.
- Expand icon. Opens the full Trend Details view for that Measurable (see the next section).
- Action menu (three dots). Opens options to take action on the Measurable (see Taking action from Trends View below).
Drilling into a Measurable with Trend Details

To get deeper context on any Measurable, click the expand icon (the outward-pointing arrows) on its card. This opens the Trend Details page for that Measurable.
Trend Details is split into two sections.
Left panel: chart and recent periods
The left panel shows:
- A trend chart with Goal, Actual, and Average lines.
- An Expand chart button that opens the chart in a full-screen overlay. Click Collapse chart to return.
- An average variance callout showing the status badge, average variance amount, and the direction of that variance. Select Our calculation formula to see how the average variance is calculated: it is taken by averaging the variance from goal across the last three weeks.
- A list of the most recent reporting periods. Each row shows the date range as a link, followed by the Actual score, Goal, and a summary label — for example, "13% above Goal" with the numerical difference.
Right panel: period-by-period table
The right panel shows a table with one row per reporting period. Each row includes:
- Date range. The start and end dates of the period.
- Compare to Goal. Whether the Actual score was above or below Goal, and by how much.
- Difference. The numerical or percentage difference between Actual and Goal, with an arrow showing direction.
- Actual. The score entered for that period.
- Goal. The goal set for that period.
Click any row in the table to open a period-level detail panel on the far right. If a custom goal or note has been set for that period, it appears here. If no custom goal or note exists, the panel prompts you to add them. Custom goals and notes are set on the Measurable itself, not from Trends View. See Forecasting and Setting Custom Goals for details.
Taking action from Trends View
You can create a follow-up on any Measurable directly from Trends View without switching tools.
From a Measurable card on the main Trends View page:
- Click the three-dot menu on the card.
- Select Create To-Do or Create Issue.
From the Trend Details page:
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right area of the left panel.
- Select Create To-Do or Create Issue.
Creating an Issue from Trends View is the EOS-aligned path: when a Measurable is off track, surface it as an Issue to be solved in your next Level 10 Meeting using IDS® (Identify, Discuss, and Solve). Creating a To-Do is useful when the action is clear and can be owned by a specific person immediately.
Scores cannot be edited from Trends View. To update a score, navigate to the Scorecard tool for the relevant team.
Troubleshooting
Issue: A Measurable I expect to see isn't appearing in Trends View. Solution:
- Check that the Team filter is set to All or the team that owns the Measurable.
- Check that the Type filter matches the Measurable's Scorecard type (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual).
- Check the Status filter — if it's set to a specific status, Measurables with a different status won't appear.
- If the issue persists, contact support.
Issue: The status summary shows fewer Measurables than I expect. Solution: Measurables with no data entered in the last three periods are excluded from the Off-track, At risk, and On-track totals. The banner shows a count of excluded Measurables. Those Measurables still appear as cards below the summary. To include them in status calculations, enter scores for the missing periods in the Scorecard tool.
Issue: The period-level detail panel shows "No Custom Goal or Note." Solution: Custom goals and notes are set on the Measurable itself, not from Trends View. To add a custom goal or note for a specific period, open the Measurable in the Scorecard tool and use the Forecasting and Setting Custom Goals feature.
Issue: I want to set Trends View as the default tab for Scorecard review in my Level 10 Meeting. Solution: Trends View cannot be set as the default view for the Scorecard tool or as the default Scorecard view in meetings at this time. You can access it at any time by clicking the Trends tab in the Scorecard tool.
