How to Navigate the V/TO® Tool in Ninety
Use the following filters to navigate the V/TO® tool effectively:

Leadership toggle

Team dropdown
Like several of our other tools, the V/TO® tool is first sorted by team. Click the Team dropdown to select the team whose Vision and goals you'd like to view, edit, or create.
Your company's leadership team can determine which parts of the organization's V/TO® are cascaded and viewable to other teams.
Share Vision toggle
Leadership team members have the Share V/TO® with All Teams toggle available. When enabled, all other teams in Ninety can click the View Leadership Vision toggle on to view the leadership team/company's Vision and Goals instead of their team's.
Alternatively, the leadership team can choose individual sections to share or hide. Here's how:
Click Edit Layout.
Click Manage Sections.
Click the closed-eye icon to hide a section and keep it private to the leadership team.
Click the open-eye icon to change a private section to public.
Click Save.
Click Save and Exit.
Leadership toggle
When viewing a non-leadership team, users can click Share V/TO® with All Teams to view the leadership team's Vision. This toggle is not visible if the leadership team has disabled the Share Vision with All Teams toggle.
Archive
Click the Archive button to archive a copy of your team's Vision or view an archived version.
Ninety's Default V/TO® Pages
The Vision tool begins with four pages:
Vision
Traction®
SWOT
Companies on a free plan can only use the Vision and Traction® pages to begin documenting their team or company's Vision.
How goal sections work on the Traction® page
The 1-Year Plan, 3-Year Picture™, and 90-Day World sections on your team's Traction® page each share a single description field. Text entered in one section's description will appear across all three.
It is not currently possible to disconnect these sections or assign a unique description to each one independently.
That said, the goal values you enter in each section can be different. Each time horizon can have its own distinct goals, targets, and titles — only the shared description field carries over.
If your team needs to track distinct measurables per time horizon, consider using the Scorecard tool to document period-specific targets alongside your V/TO®. You can also add a custom section to your Traction® page (if your organization has Custom Vision enabled) to manually document separate notes or descriptions for each time horizon.
