How to Access Company Settings
Owners, Admins, and Implementers/coaches can access company settings by clicking on their name at the bottom of the left navigation and then clicking Company Settings to adjust the following options:
Configuration: Document your company's name and colors and adjust individual tool features.
Teams: Create, classify, edit, and delete teams.
Language: Change the terminology of your Ninety account.
Meetings: Edit default meeting agendas for the whole company.
Billing: Access your Stripe billing portal.
Configuration
The Configuration page lets you customize Ninety with your company logo, brand color, and tool settings. Changes here apply to the entire company. Owners, Admins, and Implementers/coaches can change them.
The page is organized in sections, from top to bottom: Company Information, Feature Controls, and then settings for each tool. Each section is described below.
Company Information
At the top of the page, you can add your company logo and fill in:
Company name
Company website
Phone number
Are you working with a business coach?
How did you hear about us?
Ninety uses the business coach and "how did you hear about us" answers so it can message you relevant content. Toggle on Custom Color to choose a brand color for the Ninety interface. See Customizing Your Ninety Account's Appearance for logo and color details.
Feature Controls
EOS Pure™ sits at the top of Feature Controls, above the Plus features. Turning it on switches off the Plus features beneath it: automatic Milestone To-Dos, Issue prioritization, Custom Vision, and Quarterly Reviews. You can turn any of them back on individually. See Turning On the EOS Pure™ Setting.
Configuration is also where you set your company's fiscal year. Under Feature Controls, use the Fiscal Calendar Settings to choose the month your fiscal year starts and whether your organization names fiscal years by their start or end year. This setting aligns quarterly periods — including Rocks, Scorecards, and planning meetings — across Ninety. See Set Your Fiscal Year to Align Quarters Across Ninety for the full details.
Feature Controls is also where you set your company-wide Scorecard defaults. In the Data section, choose the display options every team starts with — status indicators; the Owner, Goal, Average, and Total columns; whether to show the current period; and the Default timeframe (the date range each of the Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Scorecards opens to). Individual teams can override these on their own Scorecard. See Customizing Your Team's Scorecards with Settings for the full breakdown.
Rocks, Issues, and To-Dos
Show Milestones on Rocks turns on Milestones for every Rock. See Adding Milestones to Your Rocks.
Voting lets meeting attendees vote on Issues to prioritize. See Prioritizing and Ranking Issues.
Agreements-Based To-Dos adds an acceptance step to To-Dos one person assigns to another. See Upgrade Accountability with Agreements-Based Team To-Dos.
Security
Require MFA requires every user to sign in with multi-factor authentication. See How to Set Up and Manage Multi-Factor Authentication for Your Users on Ninety.
Restrict teammate invites by email domain limits invites to approved email domains. Existing teammates are not affected. See Restricting Teammate Invites by Email Domain.
Notifications
Require comment-based email notifications makes comment emails mandatory for everyone in your company. When it is on, people get an email about comments on items they follow, whatever they have set in their own notification preferences.
On the Notifications page, the Email switch for comments is greyed out for every user, with the note "This is being enforced by your company."
The setting covers comment emails only. Mentions and assignments still follow each person's own settings, and web and mobile notifications for comments are still up to each person.
Followers of the item are emailed, except the person who wrote the comment.
No email goes out for a comment written by an Observer. People who were invited but have never logged in have no primary email on file, so they don't receive one.
If your company belongs to a larger organization that manages this setting, the toggle is disabled and a note says so. Contact your organization admin to change it.
Private Accountability Chart®
Turn on Private Accountability Chart to limit who can see the Accountability Chart. When it is on, only Owners, Admins, Implementers/coaches, and members of the Leadership Team can see it.
For everyone else, the Accountability Chart link disappears from the left navigation and from the meeting side navigation. If they open a link to a chart directly, Ninety sends them to Home without a message.
This setting hides the chart itself. Seat information still appears in other places in Ninety, such as 1-on-1 role ratings, the Scorecard Owner picker, and People Analyzer®.
OS Toolbox
These settings control the OS Toolbox, a customizable tool for learning and tracking mastery across your teams. The OS Toolbox is available on paid plans.
Enable OS Toolbox turns the tool on for your company. Turning it off hides the OS Toolbox. Your Tool cards and mastery data are kept, and they return when you turn it back on.
Show Icons displays an icon on each Tool card. You can change a card's icon whenever you create or edit it.
Show Links displays a Learn More button on each Tool card. You can enter a custom URL when you create or edit a card, so teammates can open your own learning materials.
Knowledge
Default Collections displays Ninety's default Collections in the Knowledge Portal: the Ninety Learning Hub and the EOS Toolbox™. Owners, Admins, and Implementers/coaches can change it. See Introduction to the Knowledge Portal.
Teams
The team page lets you see all your teams and what kind of team they are (LT, Project, or Private) and will enable you to create a new team. If you see a person icon on the team line, it indicates that you are a member of that team.
Our Language
In Ninety, we have configurable language to accommodate terms you already use. For example, at Ninety, we say “To-Do”; you might say “task” instead. Changing “To-Do” to “Task" from here changes it throughout the Ninety platform.
Meetings
Use the Meetings page to determine Meeting settings for your company. Some of the options on this page are:
create new meeting agendas
change meeting sections
time allotment
add new agendas
You can also choose which section is editable by other members of the company. As you change the duration for each section, it updates the Total Duration at the bottom of the page.
