How to Turn On EOS Pure™ in Ninety
If your team wants to run Ninety exactly the way EOS® is taught — without the extra features Ninety layers on top — turn on the EOS Pure™ setting in Company Settings. It switches off four optional features in one click and shows a banner confirming your account is running Pure.
Owners, Admins, and Coaches can change this setting on any paid plan in Ninety.
EOS Pure™ is off by default, and turning it on doesn't remove anything from your account — it hides features your company isn't using. You can turn the EOS Plus features back on at any time.
What EOS Pure turns off
Turning on EOS Pure™ disables these four Plus features:
Plus feature | Where it applies | What switching it off does |
Automatically create To-Dos for Milestones not completed 7 days before the due date | Rocks | Stops the automation that creates a To-Do one week before a milestone is due. |
Show Issue Prioritization | Issues | Removes the 1-to-5 priority field next to your Issues. |
Custom Vision | Vision | Turns off layout and content changes to the Vision page. |
Enable Quarterly Reviews (Quarterly Conversations | 1-on-1 | Hides the Quarterly Reviews tab in the 1-on-1 tool. |
Each of these carries a Plus chip in Company Settings, so you can tell at a glance which settings sit outside Pure.
Settings that are already off for EOS companies — such as Agreements-Based To-Dos — are not affected. EOS® Pure™ changes only the four features above.
How to turn on EOS Pure
Owners, Admins, and Coaches can turn on EOS Pure for the whole company:
Click your name at the bottom of the left navigation.
Click Company Settings, then Configuration.
Find EOS Pure™ at the top of the Feature Controls section, above the Fiscal Calendar settings.
Turn the EOS Pure™ toggle on.
All four Plus features switch off together, and a banner appears confirming the change. The four Plus settings are grouped directly beneath the EOS Pure™ toggle rather than under their individual tool sections, so you can see exactly what the toggle controls.
How to tell your account is running EOS Pure
When all four Plus features are off, a banner sits at the top of Company Settings:
This account is running EOS Pure™. Plus features are disabled.
The banner is your confirmation that nothing outside the standard EOS Pure™ configuration is switched on. It appears only when all four Plus features are off — turn any single one on, and the banner disappears.
The banner appears in Company Settings. It isn't shown in Partner Hub.
How to turn a Plus feature back on
You can run EOS Pure and still enable individual Plus features. Owners, Admins, and Coaches can do this from the same page:
Go to Company Settings > Configuration.
Find the Plus feature you want beneath the EOS Pure™ toggle.
Turn that feature's toggle on.
Read the Enable Plus Feature dialog, which explains: Enabling this feature means you are no longer operating within the EOS Pure™ framework.
Click Okay to confirm, or Cancel to leave the feature off.
After you confirm, three things happen: the feature turns on for everyone in the company, the EOS Pure™ toggle switches itself off, and the banner disappears. This is expected — your account is no longer running every Pure default, so Ninety stops claiming that it is.
To get back to Pure, turn the EOS Pure™ toggle back on. It switches all four Plus features off again.
How Coaches set EOS Pure on a Partner Hub template
Coaches can set EOS Pure on a Partner Hub template so every client company created from it starts in Pure. This applies to EOS templates only.
Open Partner Hub.
Open the template you want to change.
Click the Configuration tab.
Turn on the EOS Pure™ toggle, below the logo and above the Rocks section.
Save your changes.
Every company created from that template going forward starts with the four Plus features off. Companies created from the template before you made this change keep the settings they were created with.
Only the Coach role can change Partner Hub templates. The Plus chips and the Pure banner appear in Company Settings, not in Partner Hub.
What turning on EOS Pure doesn't do
It doesn't change companies that already exist. Turning on EOS Pure in a Partner Hub template affects new companies only. An existing company stays as it is until an Owner, Admin, or Coach turns the setting on in its own Company Settings.
It doesn't change any other setting. Only the four Plus features listed above are affected.
It doesn't apply to non-EOS companies. The EOS Pure toggle appears for EOS companies only.
Troubleshooting
You can't find the EOS Pure setting in Company Settings.
Confirm your role. Only Owners, Admins, and Coaches can see and change Company Settings.
Confirm your company is on a paid plan.
Confirm your company is set up as an EOS company. The EOS Pure toggle doesn't appear for other business operating systems.
Look at the top of the Feature Controls section on the Configuration page, above the Fiscal Calendar settings.
If the issue persists, contact support.
The EOS Pure banner disappeared, and you didn't turn EOS Pure off.
Check the four Plus settings beneath the EOS Pure toggle. The banner hides as soon as any one of them is switched on.
Ask the other Owners, Admins, and Coaches in your company whether they enabled a Plus feature — the setting is company-wide, so anyone with those roles can change it.
Turn the EOS Pure toggle back on to switch all four off and restore the banner.
If the issue persists, contact support.
A client company created from your Partner Hub template isn't running EOS Pure.
Confirm that the template had the EOS Pure toggle turned on before the company was created. The setting applies to companies created after you saved the change.
Open that company's Company Settings > Configuration and turn on EOS Pure directly.
If the issue persists, contact support.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
What's the difference between EOS Pure and EOS Plus?
EOS Pure means your company is running Ninety with only the features standard EOS calls for. Plus refers to optional features Ninety adds on top, including: automatic Milestone To-Dos, Issue prioritization, Custom Vision, and Quarterly Reviews. Turning the EOS Pure setting on switches all four off; turning any one of them on moves your account to Plus.
Who can turn EOS Pure on or off?
Owners, Admins, and Coaches can change the settings in Company Settings, and it applies to the whole company. In Partner Hub, only the Coach role can set EOS Pure on a template.
Does turning on EOS Pure affect the companies in my Partner Hub template already created?
No. Setting EOS Pure on a template applies to companies created from it afterward. Companies created before the change keep their existing settings, and each one can turn EOS® Pure™ on in its own Company Settings.
Can I run EOS Pure but keep one Plus feature?
Yes. Turn on the single Plus feature you want and confirm the dialog. That feature becomes available, the EOS Pure toggle switches off, and the Pure banner disappears — but the other three Plus features stay off.
Which plans include the EOS Pure setting?
EOS Pure is available on the Essentials plan and above, for companies running EOS®.
Where did the Quarterly Reviews tab go?
If the Quarterly Reviews tab is missing from your 1-on-1 tool, the Enable Quarterly Reviews setting is off — either because someone turned on EOS Pure or because the setting was switched off on its own. An Owner, Admin, or Coach can turn it back on in Company Settings > Configuration, beneath the EOS Pure toggle. On the mobile app, the Reviews tab is hidden the same way.
