How to Manage Meeting Agendas in Ninety
Ninety lets you manage meeting agendas at two levels: company-wide through Company Settings, or for a single team through that team's agenda settings. Knowing which one you are editing determines who sees the change, and this article explains the difference and the steps for each.
Overview of agenda management
Meeting agendas in Ninety can be managed either through Company Settings or directly within a specific team's meeting settings. Understanding the scope and impact of changes made in each area is crucial for effective agenda management.
Company Settings vs. team-specific changes
Company Settings: Changes made in Company Settings > Meetings apply to the entire organization. To ensure these changes are reflected across all teams, you must select Push to All Teams after saving. Without this step, updates will not propagate to existing teams.
Team-specific changes: To customize an agenda for a single team, navigate to Meetings > Select Team > Agendas and edit the agenda directly. These changes affect only the selected team and will not appear in Company Settings.
Using Push to All Teams
The Push to All Teams option is what applies a company-wide agenda change to teams that already exist. Here's how it works:
Go to Company Settings > Meetings.
Make your desired edits to the agenda.
Save the changes and select Push to All Teams.
For standard agendas (e.g., Weekly or Quarterly), this overrides edits on teams where the agenda is already applied.
For new custom agendas, this adds the agenda as a selectable option for all teams without altering their existing agendas or defaults.
Custom agenda creation and editing
Company-wide agendas: Create or edit agendas in Company Settings to make them available across the organization. Use Push to All Teams to distribute them.
Team-specific agendas: To apply a custom agenda to specific teams without affecting others, configure the agenda separately within each team's settings. The Push to All Teams option cannot be limited to a subset of teams.
Frequently asked questions
Why aren't my changes in Company Settings reflected in my meeting agenda?
Changes in Company Settings require you to select Push to All Teams after saving to apply them organization-wide. Without this step, updates will not appear in team agendas.
Why don't team-specific agendas appear in Company Settings?
Agendas created for a specific team are scoped to that team and do not appear in Company Settings. To make an agenda visible at the company level, create it in Company Settings and push it to all teams if needed.
How can I ensure changes to a Level 10 Meeting® agenda apply to all teams?
After editing the agenda in Company Settings > Meetings, save your changes and select Push to All Teams. This step is necessary to distribute the updated agenda to all teams.
