How to Use the Org Assessment in Place of the Organizational Checkup® in Ninety
The Organizational Checkup® is an EOS® Worldwide survey that measures your organization's health across the Six Key Components®.
The official Organizational Checkup® is not included in Ninety's Assessments tool, but Ninety provides an Org Assessment, a built-in assessment that closely mirrors the Organizational Checkup® and evaluates the same Six Key Components®. Owners, Admins, and Managers can deploy the Org Assessment to their teams. Team Members, Coaches, and Observers complete or view assigned assessments based on their permission level.
What is the Organizational Checkup®?
The Organizational Checkup® is a survey created by EOS® Worldwide that helps leadership teams measure their organization's performance across the Six Key Components®: Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, and Traction. Teams typically complete the Organizational Checkup® at least once a year, most often before an Annual Planning Session, to establish a baseline and track improvement over time. Many EOS Implementers also use it before Quarterly Planning Sessions to keep a pulse on organizational health.
How Ninety handles the Organizational Checkup®
Ninety's Assessments tool does not include the official EOS Organizational Checkup®. Instead, every Ninety account comes with an Org Assessment. The Org Assessment is a built-in survey that evaluates the same Six Key Components® as the Organizational Checkup® and can be used as a direct substitute for companies running on EOS.
- Q: Does Ninety have the Organizational Checkup®? A: The official Organizational Checkup® from EOS Worldwide is not included in Ninety. However, Ninety's Org Assessment covers the same Six Key Components® and serves the same purpose. You can deploy it from the Assessments tool on any Ninety account.
- Q: What is the difference between the Organizational Checkup® and the Org Assessment? A: The Organizational Checkup® is the official EOS Worldwide survey. The Org Assessment is Ninety's built-in version that closely mirrors it, evaluating the same Six Key Components®. Both help your team measure organizational health and identify areas for improvement.
Who can deploy and complete the Org Assessment
Access to the Org Assessment depends on your user role:
- Owner and Admin: Full access to create, deploy, view, update, and delete assessments from the Admin tab.
- Manager: Can create and deploy the Org Assessment for their teams and view results.
- Team Member: Can complete assigned assessments from the My Assessments tab.
- Coach: Can complete or view assigned assessments, depending on permissions.
- Observer: View-only access to assigned assessments.
Deploying the Org Assessment to your team
Owners, Admins, and Managers deploy the Org Assessment from the Admin tab in the Assessments tool. To deploy the Org Assessment:
- Click Assessments from the main navigation menu.
- Select the Admin tab.
- Select the Org Assessment.
- Assign the assessment to the appropriate team members.
- Set a deadline for completion.
Team members receive the assessment on their My Assessments page. Once they complete it, the results are available to the person who deployed it. For detailed steps on managing assessments, read Using the Assessments Tool.
Integrating Org Assessment results into Ninety
Org Assessment results connect to two key areas within Ninety: your Annual Planning Meeting agenda and your Leadership Team's Quarterly Scorecard (your weekly metrics dashboard).
Annual Planning Meeting
During your Annual Planning Session, Day 1 of the meeting agenda includes a dedicated section for reviewing Org Assessment results. Use this time to discuss your team's scores across the Six Key Components® and identify areas for improvement heading into the new year.
Quarterly Scorecard
Organization Checkup Measurables are included as 90 Default Measurables on the Quarterly tab of the Leadership Team's Scorecard. After your team completes the Org Assessment, enter the team's average scores for each component into the Scorecard to track your organizational health over time.
